Tyler J. Rinne is a writer, artist, cartoonist, director, actor, and podcast host, among other things. He has written seven plays, including The Rest of the West, published by Pioneer Drama. His artwork has appeared on covers for Josh Erikson’s popular Ethereal Earth book series, in The Rural Electric Nebraskan, and the logo for Book Bugs podcast. He recently completed a 50-foot mural project for Main Street Beatrice. His daily comic strip, Pandora’s Boxer Briefs, and other comics short stories are available here on this site. Tyler has directed forty plays, including Shipwrecked! An Entertainment, The Lion in Winter, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, and his aforementioned original works. Favorite onstage appearances include lead roles in Popcorn Falls, The 39 Steps, Noises Off, and Moonlight & Magnolias; he is featured in the short film by Elijah Quinn, The Music of Erich Zann. As co-host of the Film Foil Podcast, Tyler explores 100 years of movies as the resident “movie buff,” although he’s not so sure about that title. Tyler lives in Beatrice, Nebraska with his wife, Elena, and their dog, Luna.
